On March 27, 2025, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, together with Mr. Teerachai Chemanasiri, Chairman of the Walailak University Council, presided over a merit-making ceremony in celebration of the 34th anniversary of Walailak University.
The ceremony included offering alms and dry food to Buddhist monks, as well as a Buddhist merit dedication ceremony in memory of Professor Dr. Wichit Srisa-an, who made significant contributions to the university, along with faculty members, staff, and students who had passed away.
In addition, Islamic prayer (Du’a) and Christian blessing prayers were conducted to bring prosperity and auspiciousness to the university’s executives, personnel, and students.
The event reflected the university’s commitment to honoring gratitude, promoting unity among diverse faiths, and preserving meaningful cultural and spiritual traditions within the Walailak University community.
