Walailak University Organizes “Walailak Songkran: Preserving Thai Traditions 2026”

On April 8, 2026, Walailak University organized the event “Walailak Songkran: Preserving Thai Traditions 2026,” with Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presiding over the opening ceremony. The event was attended by university executives, lecturers, students, and more than 500 local residents from communities surrounding the university at the Architecture and Design Laboratory Building, Walailak University.

The “Walailak Songkran: Preserving Thai Traditions” event provided an opportunity for students and university personnel to express gratitude, ask for forgiveness, and receive blessings from elderly members of the Walailak University Demonstration Community. These respected elders have long played an important role in supporting, developing, and contributing to the growth and stability of the university since its establishment.

The activity reflected the university’s commitment to preserving Thai cultural traditions, promoting unity, and strengthening the relationship between the university and surrounding communities.
