On August 27, 2026, Walailak University organized the Innovation and Work Process Development Presentation for Centers, Institutes, Divisions and Equivalent Units, Schools, Colleges, and Graduate School for Fiscal Year 2026 (WU Innovation SDG plus 2026). The event was held from August 25–27, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Phattharathammaporn Conference Room, 9th Floor, Building B, Walailak University Medical Center.
On this occasion, the Division of Property and Supplies, Walailak University, participated in the event by presenting its innovation project entitled “Procurement and Supplies Management Information System (PMIS)”. The system was developed to enhance the University’s procurement and supplies management processes by making operations more convenient and efficient, reducing redundant data entry and enabling data integration to support effective management and decision-making.
The PMIS was developed by the Digital Innovation Center, Walailak University, and designed to meet the needs of four key user groups: Division of Property and Supplies staff, University executives, internal University units, and external suppliers or organizations. The system aims to reduce redundant data entry, shorten processing time and streamline work procedures, support the monitoring and oversight of procurement processes, and provide essential information for management and decision-making by University executives and internal units.
In addition, PMIS is designed to enhance the dissemination and accessibility of procurement-related information, enabling stakeholders to access relevant information conveniently, promptly, and transparently. This development is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement and supplies management processes in line with digital-era management practices.
The Division of Property and Supplies is scheduled to officially launch PMIS on October 1, 2026, coinciding with the beginning of Fiscal Year 2027. The system will support the University’s procurement and supplies management operations throughout the new fiscal year in a more systematic, efficient, and integrated manner.
